Xiaomi is set to launch a new large screen Android smart phone at an affordable price. After its listing on China’s TEENA certification page, Xiaomi has already placed a teaser of its new Redmi Note that would be open for bookings on the 19th of March in China.
The device will go on sale officially on 25th March at 12:00PM and is done exclusively through a QQ App. To make things interesting, they are also giving away 50 Redmi Note devices to those who can guess the price correctly.
The teaser didn’t reveal much about the hardware except that it will come with a 5.5″ display. Based on earlier speculation, the Redmi Note is said to be running on a Octa-Core processor and comes equipped with a 13MP main camera and a front facing 5MP shooter. The front 5.5″ display is pushing a rather moderate HD 720p which is still decent considering it will carry an incredibly low price tag. This is seen as a successor for the 4.7″ Redmi which was recently sold out in 8 minutes in Singapore.
