During Mobile World Congress, both Sony and Samsung had launched their new flagship devices with a rather mainstream Full HD 1920×1080 resolution. Even HTC’s upcoming all new One is sticking to the same display resolution as well.
If you’re looking for an even higher definition display, LG’s upcoming G3 smart phone is said to be pushing a higher QHD display that does 2560×1440 resolution. The earlier speculation seems to be true as the screenshots are indeed having Quad HD resolution. Without seeing the “About Phone” page, we can’t 100% be sure at this point. You can download the original screenshot over here and here.
Based on earlier rumours, the LG G3 is expected to launch in May 2014 and is likely to have a 5.5″ display, which is slightly bigger than the LG G2‘s 5.2″ display. At 5.5″, the LG G3 is already encroaching phablet territory which is covered by their LG G Pro 2.
If you can’t wait, Oppo will be launching their new Find 7 next week which will come with a 5.5″ Quad HD display and a superior 2.46GHz Quad-Core processor with 3GB of RAM. Since Oppo has its presence in Malaysia, it shouldn’t take too long for the Find 7 to go on sale locally. As for LG, we are not sure if they are still active in Malaysia as they have yet to launch the LG G2, LG G Flex and the Nexus 5 locally.
