This is probably the coolest invite for a smart phone launch

Oppo will be launching their high-end Find 7 Smart Phone next week and they have sent out a special invitation package to their local Chinese media. Normally an invite for a launch is rather standard with the usual venue, time and date but Oppo decides to do something different.

In the package, it comes with a clear glass-looking pyramid with supporting frames at the top. To view the special interactive invite, a special app is required which can be downloaded using the provided QR codes. With the app installed, the smart phone is then used as a projection onto the provided pyramid. You’ve got to see it yourself after the break.

The new Oppo Find 7 will be launched next Wednesday in Beijing on 19th March and all teasers have pointed out that 2 versions will be made available. The higher end model (X9077) comes with a 5.5″ display that does a 2K resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and runs on a top notch 2.46GHz Quad-Core processor with 3GB of RAM. The front camera is said to be a 5MP shooter while the rear could be packing an epic 50MP shooter based on recent appearance of its purported sample pictures.

The other Find 7 model (X9007) will come with a respectable 2.26GHz Quad-Core processor and a 5.5″ display that does Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The rest of the specs for the X9007 are similar as the higher end model. Out of the box, both units will be running on Android 4.3 with Oppo’s customised ColorOS interface. We will be heading to Beijing next week for the launch so do follow us for the latest updates on the Oppo Find 7.

Head after the break to see the interactive invite in action.
