Could this be the box of the upcoming Galaxy S5?

While it looks real, Sammobile thinks that this could be nothing but a hoax. The leaked shot of the purported Galaxy S5 official box looks consistent like any Galaxy boxes with its environmental friendly packaging however the details on the back does raised a couple of eyebrows.

A number of features such as a quad-core 2.5GHz processor and a 5.25″ QHD display do match earlier rumoured specifications. However the camera is listed as 20MP which is far off from the 16MP shooter we’ve seen so far and the 20.0 text written in the icon looks rather suspicious. In terms of battery, the 3,000mAh capacity is smaller than the purported 3,200mAh capacity that we’ve heard so far. In addition, the Full HD 1080p video recording capability looks rather underwhelming considering that the current Galaxy Note 3 is capable of shooting 4K videos. Could this be another photoshop job? Well maybe, maybe not.

While everyone is getting excited over the next flagship from Samsung, for now we would take this with a pinch of salt. Besides, we will get the full picture in the upcoming Unpacked 5 event which is just 2 weeks away.
