UPDATE: New Xperia D6503 leak suggests 4K video recording, stereo speakers and new smart features. Read more about it here.

More details of the new Xperia model spotted yesterday has surfaced. Carrying the model number D6503, the device is speculated to be the new Xperia Z2 flagship also known as “Sirius”. Being the latest high-end device, it runs on a faster quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 (MSM9874AB) processor with 3GB of RAM and a larger 5.2″ Full HD display.

In the imaging department, it appears to have retained the same 20.7MP shooter as the Xperia Z1 along with a 2MP camera at the front. With the new screenshots, Sony has added a couple of enhancements to its interface with increased levels of customisation. The quick setting panel now appears to be refreshed with bigger icons and you also get to choose which system icons to be displayed on the status bar.

According to Xperia Blog, the device is spotted running with an older firmware with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and it is expected to launch with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box along with its new refreshed interface. As leaked earlier, the design is similar with the current Xperia Z1 except for a minor tweaks with the speaker grill and microSD/micro SIM flaps.

Check out more UI screenshots after the break.
