Nokia is looking to reclaim its dominance in the entry-level mobile segment with a series of affordable smartphones. The latest to enter Malaysia is the “accessibly-priced” Lumia 525 which is an update of Nokia’s best selling Windows Phone smartphone account for over 25% of Lumia sales worldwide, the Lumia 520.
The Lumia 525 runs the latest version of Windows Phone 8 and in terms of specs, the device is pretty much the same device as the Lumia 520 with some minor updates. RAM is double to 1GB. The display is the same 4-inch IPS WVGA (800×480) display as before as is the dual-core 1.0GHz Qualcomm S4 processor, 8GB of internal storage (with 7GB SkyDrive cloud storage) and a microSD slot that supports up to 64GB, the 5MP main camera with 720p video is also the same. Even the battery capacity is the same at 1,430mAh.
The Nokia Lumia 525 is available in gloss orange, white and matte black and with changeable shells and will go on sale from tomorrow for RM499.
