The LG G Flex comes with a flexible curved display and unique Self-Healing feature for its back cover. To find out if the unique combination would survive a fall, the guys at Android Authority had conducted a drop test with a brand new G Flex.
With a curved design, it looks like the display could be better protected. However upon impact on the sides, the glass starts to crack with fine crack lines running to the middle. As for the back, the impact left a couple of deep marks which does look better after a while but there’s no way it can heal itself when it comes to extreme damage. Overall the self-healing feature is good enough for minor scratches and normal wear-and-tear.
If you fancy of getting one, some grey importers in Malaysia are currently selling the G Flex for RM3,599. To recap on the specs, the G Flex comes with a curved 6″ HD 720p display and runs on the latest 2.3GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Processor with 2GB of RAM and 32GB.
