LG today officially announced the G Pro Lite, a 5.5-inch device packing entry-level hardware including a MediaTek 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of on board storage and an 8MP camera. The 960×540 5.5-inch IPS display pushes a lowly 200ppi but with a 3,140mAh battery pack the G Pro Lite should be able to go through a day and then some before you need to look for a power plug. If writing is your thing the G Pro Lite has an embedded stylus as well.
Stand-out features include stereo speakers, dual-SIM support with a dedicated Hot Key that allows you to swap lines quickly. The phone is also designed with a thin bezel allowing for a slim design — looks very much like the Galaxy Note 3 that should make it easier to hold with one hand.
Available in black and white, the LG G Pro Lite hits Latin America this month and Asia, Russia, China, India and the Middle East later this year. Pricing details will come closer to our local launch date if the device makes it to Malaysia.
