More details and images of the upcoming Nexus 5 are beginning to surface after its accidental debut in their KitKat unveiling video.
Some lucky folks have managed to get their hands on the Nexus 5 log files which reveals its more or less confirmed specs. The screen comes with a 5″ Full HD display that pushes about 440 ppi while its processing power is handled by a high-end Snapdragon 800 that’s mated with 2GB of RAM. The device which they had comes with 16GB of storage but it is likely Google would offer variation of storage sizes since expandable microSD storage would be lacking.
In the imaging department, the Nexus 5 is seen to be having a 8MP shooter which is a notch below the 13MP camera that’s found on the LG G2. With photography said to be its biggest highlight, there’s no confirmation if it will carry the Optical Image Stabilisation that’s being used on the G2. The device will also support 4G LTE as well as the standard WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.
Another interesting discovery is that the Nexus 5 is listed by an Ukrainian telco as using nano-SIM. If this is not a mistake, the Nexus 5 would be the 3rd non-Apple device to use nano sim after the ASUS Padfone Infinity and Moto X. In terms of availability, the Nexus 5 might be officially announced on 31st October as hinted by case maker SPIGEN.
