Nokia Confirms Lumia 1020 Malaysia Launch Date

The Nokia Lumia 1020 is coming to Malaysia and its coming very soon. Nokia Malaysia has issued the invite for the local launch event of the Lumia 1020 that’s scheduled to happen next week on September 19.

The Lumia 1020 features a 4.5-inch 1280×768 AMOLED Gorilla Glass 3 display. Powering the device is a familiar dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 2GB RAM (double from the Lumia 920) and 32GB of storage, and a 2,000mAh battery. The Lumia 1020 is lighter that the Lumia 920 (158 grams vs 185 grams) with a thickness of 10.4mm. Just like the Lumia 920, the Lumia 1020 also supports 4G LTE as well.

The Lumia 1020’s trump card is its oversized 41MP 1/1,5” camera that’s 5 times bigger than that in a camera of a typical smartphone. The large image sensor combined with a 6 element Zeiss lens, optical image stabilisation and Nokia’s powerful image processing application promises superior imaging performance than most smartphones even in challenging conditions.

We’re expecting Nokia to launch the Lumia 1020 with at least one operator partner so you can get the device on contract when it’s available but pricing is still a big secret but don’t fret as we will be at the launch event to provide the latest updates so stay tuned.
