Maxis introduces Bites – monthly unlimited social & messaging package

For those using mobile internet mainly for social and instant messaging, Maxis has introduced Bites – A new affordable monthly subscription add-on which offers unlimited usage from as low as RM8/month. There are 3 Bites packages with the following bundle:

Social Bites – RM10/month
Unlimited Facebook/Twitter via m.facebook.com and m.twitter.com

Chat Bites – RM10/month
Unlimited WhatsApp/Toot! via official app
Plus Free 100 SMS within Maxis network

Big Bites – RM8/month
Unlimited Facebook/Twitter via m.facebookcom / m.twitter.com and official WhatsApp application.
Plus Free 100 SMS within Maxis network

The Bites offer is applicable to all Maxis Postpaid customers and all 3 comes bundled with 50MB data for internet surfing. Obviously Big Bites is the best deal among the three, however is only for Postpaid subscribers with Mobile Internet plan or Internet based subscription only.

To activate, dial *100*7# and select Monthly Data Bites. Upon activation, it will be automatically renewed monthly and if you wish to unsubscribe, you would need to call their hotline at 123. Do note that the unlimited Facebook/Twitter is restricted to the mobile sites and usage on the apps are charged as per normal data usage.
