The LG Optimus G Pro Now Available in Malaysia

If you’re looking for a capable alternative to the Galaxy Note II, you should take a look at the LG Optimus G Pro which is now available in Malaysia.

Packing a 5.5-inch Full 1080p HD display (400ppi) — probably the largest full HD screen you can get on a smartphone until the Xperia Z Ultra arrives — the Optimus G Pro is generously specced with a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (similar unit used by HTC in the One) combined with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage and a large 3,140mAh battery. The power-efficient processor combined with the large battery should give you good battery performance, the device should be able to run for about 1.5 days on a single charge on moderate use.

You also get a 13MP rear camera (1080p), a 2.1MP front camera and a feature that allows you to record videos from both the cameras simultaneously. On top of that, you get an infrared port allowing you to use the device as a universal remote and a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 64GB. There’s also LTE and NFC. To top it all off, you get a slightly more upmarket design and feel with the Optimus G Pro when compared to the Galaxy Note II.

Basically, you get pretty much everything with the LG Optimus G Pro and considering the device sells for RM1,888, the G Pro brings great value as well. So if the Galaxy Note II is too mainstream for you, the LG Optimus G Pro gets our pick for an alternative that you can’t go wrong with.

Head on over to after the jump for our hands on video.
