After rolling off the EPMB Melaka assembly plant earlier this year, the locally assembled (CKD) XPeng G6 electric SUV has finally begun arriving in the hands of customers. XPeng’s local partner, Bermaz, held an event last weekend to celebrate the first batch of XPeng G6 CKD owners.
Visually and specification-wise, the XPeng G6 CKD is virtually identical to the fully-imported (CBU) G6 Facelift (FL) launched in Malaysia last October. The lineup also includes the FL Standard Range variant that debuted locally a few months later.

XPeng G6 CKD Malaysia Colours and Warranty

In Malaysia, the G6 CKD is available in five exterior shades: Arctic White, Graphite Gray, Midnight Black, Silver Frost, and Stellar Purple. For the cabin, buyers can select either Dark Gray or Light Gray.
Every G6 CKD comes standard with 5 years or 100,000km of free scheduled maintenance (whichever comes first). The vehicle is backed by a 5-year / 120,000km warranty, while its high-voltage battery pack and electric motor are covered by a separate 8-year / 160,000km warranty.
XPeng G6 CKD Malaysia Quick Specs

Shared with its CBU twin, the sleek silhouette of the G6 CKD features a full-length Starlight Wing LED light bar upfront, paired with a subtle ducktail rear spoiler and a redesigned rear diffuser. Measuring 4,758mm long, 1,920mm wide, and 1,650mm tall with a 2,890mm wheelbase, the SUV offers a 571L boot capacity, expandable to 1,374L with the rear seats folded flat.
Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels are kept in check via soundproof acoustic glass for the windshield and front side windows, supplemented by rear privacy glass. Inside, the Long Range and Performance variants feature Nappa leather seats with built-in massage functionality, alongside suede-lined pillars. In contrast, the entry-level Standard Range comes with synthetic leather upholstery and omits the seat massage feature.

Standard features across all three variants include a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 18-speaker XPeng XOpera surround sound setup (including 2 audio drivers embedded in the headrests), and a 256-colour ambient lighting system.
Mechanically, the G6 CKD utilises a front double-wishbone and rear 5-link independent suspension setup. The Long Range and Performance models ride on 20-inch alloy wheels, whereas the Standard Range gets 18-inch wheels.
