Maxis’s Samsung Galaxy S4 launch event happening on 27th April with bundling offer at RM1,499

UPDATE 2: Maxis has clarified that the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre event is meant for Maxis Corporate Customers only. The Galaxy S4 will be available at all Maxis Centres and Exclusive Partner outlets from 10AM this Saturday. You can refer to the full list of roadshows here.

Maxis has fired the first salvo with their Samsung Galaxy S4 event which is happening at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre this coming Saturday, 27th April 2013. In terms of contract bundling for the Galaxy S4, they are offering the device at RM1,499 with a RM118/month commitment plan. The S4 launch details was revealed through a SMS blast from the telco.

Like any other Maxis product bundling, we would expect more options to be made available as well including a Maxis One Club offer thrown in the mix. The full retail price of the Galaxy S4 is listed at RM2,199 but there’s no indication on which variant Maxis is offering.

So this is it folks, 27th April is the launch date which is similar as our southern neighbour, Singapore. DiGi has revealed its contracted price from as low as RM1,199 on Saturday. U Mobile & Celcom are also offering the Galaxy S4 and we would expect them to reveal their full plans by this coming weekend.
