Clearly Samsung believes that the world needs more Galaxy smartphones, say hello to two new additions — the Galaxy Win and the Galaxy Trend 2.

First up we have the Galaxy Win, which despite the name, is not really a device that is full of any win. Wearing a design that’s the exact photocopy of the Galaxy S III, the Galaxy Win is a bargain basement Android with a 4.7-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display, boasting a whopping 199ppi pixel density.

If you’re still interested, the Win runs Android 4.1 and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. For instagrammers, you’ll be disappointed to know that the win sports a so-so 5MP rear-facing camera and a VGA front shooter. There’s microSD expansion, dual-SIM support and a 2,000mAh battery. Curiously, Samsung didn’t list the device’s RAM and onboard storage in the spec list.

Next, is the Galaxy Trend 2 (anyone remember the Trend 1?). Specs include Android 4.1, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.1-inch WVGA (800 x 480) 223ppi, a 3MP rear camera, and a, wait for it, a 1,500 mAh battery. Dual-SIM support and microSD expansion is also standard.

Pricing and release details have not been revealed but we won’t worry too much about it because at the moment, the Win and Trend 2 are China domestic models only. No word on whether Samsung will bring them to Malaysia. More importantly, in a market where even the makcik cleaner is using a Galaxy Note II, why would Samsung even bother.
