YouTube shuts down to find the best video ever

Even video sharing site such as YouTube needs a little bit of holiday. They are apparently shutting down to pick the best video uploaded over the years. Submission of entries have ended and YouTube’s dedicated staff will go through an excruciating selection process to find that one video. With hours of videos being uploaded every second, the winner will be announced in 2023 which marks YouTube’s new relaunch.

If you can’t wait for 10 years, YouTube will be announcing the shortlisted nominees daily for the next 2 years in a live video stream here.

For those who don’t find videos amusing, you might want to check out Google Maps’s Treasure Mode after the jump.
