While many are looking ahead to the Galaxy S IV, Samsung has been busy adding on more devices to its mobile portfolio, say hello to the Galaxy Note 8.0.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 will be making its debut proper at the Mobile World Congress next week but Samsung gave journalists an early preview of the new tablet.
As the name suggests, the Galaxy Note 8.0 is an 8-inch that includes Samsung’s trademark S Pen stylus input interface. Running on Android Jelly Bean (4.1.2), the device features a 1280×800 display (about 190ppi) and is powered by a 1.6GHz A9 quad-core processor augmented with 2GB of RAM. There’s also a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front shooter. Storage options include a 16GB and a 32GB, both with microSD expansion. Battery life should be decent thanks to a 4,600mAh pack.
If you’re wondering, the Galaxy Note 8.0 will support LTE and will be capable of making phone calls. You can also expect nifty features seen on the other Galaxy Note devices like multi-screen and the like in the Note 8.0, so usability going to be good on this device.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 will be available worldwide in the second quarter of 2013 and it is definitely coming to Malaysia though the exact launch date has not yet been announced. In any case, we will be in Barcelona to give you the latest coverage on the Mobile World Congress 2013 — that includes a hands-on with the Galaxy Note 8.0 — so stay tuned.
