HTC announces mini – remote phone for HTC butterfly

The HTC mini isn’t a smaller smart phone, but it is a candybar designed remote control/phone for the 5″ HTC Butterfly. While Sony has its own Smart Watch, the candybar shaped HTC mini offers more features such as making phone calls, remote control and it also can be used as a remote camera shutter as well. There’s even Phone Finder feature in case you lose your HTC Butterfly.

To activate the mini, all you’ll need is to tap the device via NFC to pair both devices on Bluetooth. It also comes with a monochrome display that lets you read messages, calendar and call log entries. So far the HTC mini is destined for China and there’s no word if it is going to be released in other regions. Honestly this seems to be a joke and it is rather redundant to hold 2 “phones” in your pocket.

Head after the break for the product video.
