Samsung Galaxy Camera teased, coming soon to Malaysia

Samsung Malaysia has put up a teaser that its Galaxy Camera is coming soon to Malaysia. The 16MP device with 21X Optical zoom is Samsung’s first Android powered digital camera. It comes with a touch screen 4.77″ HD SLCD display that does 1280×720 pixels resolution.

Out of the box, the Galaxy Camera runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it is powered with a Quad-Core Exynos processor, 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of storage. For more storage, it is expandable with micro SD. For video recording, it does full 1080p HD videos at 30fps and has a slow motion mode which captures 120fps in 480p. Powering the device is a 1,650mAh battery. Overall it is 19.1mm thick and it weighs 305 grams.

Being a camera with smart phone OS, this allows more sharing and editing possibilities. For instant and real-time upload, the Galaxy Camera comes with 3G and WiFi connectivity as well. No exact dates are given but it is likely to be available in the next couple of weeks. With a Galaxy S III-like specs and a larger camera sensor, do expect it to be priced above RM2,200 mark.
