If you’re using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, 8.9, 7.0 Plus or 7.7, your upgrade away from Android 3.2 Honeycomb to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is coming real soon. According to Sammobile, Samsung will be rolling out Android 4.0 ICS update for the following tablet models beginning July onwards:
GT-P6210 Galaxy Tab 7.0 PLUS WIFI
GT-P6200 Galaxy Tab 7.0 PLUS WIFI + 3G
GT-P6810 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI
GT-P6800 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI + 3G
GT-P7310 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI
GT-P7300 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI + 3G
GT-P7510 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI
GT-P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI + 3G
With the recent release of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and 10.1 that runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with similar hardware, there’s no reason why Samsung would defer such update on its current models. The roll out is said to be starting in July with majority of units receiving the updates by August 2012.
