Maxis DC HSPA+ Broadband USB

Maxis has introduced a faster wireless broadband plan that runs on its newly upgraded DC-HSPA+ network. DC-HSPA+ is the next evolution of HSPA which offers download speeds up to 42Mbps and U Mobile was the first to offer it in Malaysia.

For Maxis, they are offering a 6GB broadband plan at RM98/month which it claims to offer download speeds up to 10Mbps. In the FAQ, they are claiming best effort speeds between 1-8Mbps download and 0.5-2Mbps upload. The modem is offered at RM160 on a 12 months contract and there’s a one time RM100 activation fee for new subscriber.

In terms of coverage, Maxis seems to have a wide DC HSPA+ coverage across the Klang Valley. You can check if your area is covered here, but make sure that DC HSPA+ is ticked.

For more information, head over to Maxis Wireless page.
