Sony Tablet S to get Android 4.0 ICS next month

Sony has announced on its Japan site that the Sony Tablet S will be receiving Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in April.

The upgrade brings the tablet to Android version 4.0.3 and it comes with several new features. Firstly, the Tablet S is able to stream videos recorded from compatible Sony Blu-Ray players with a downloadable app. Another new additional is its “Small Apps” which is basically calendar, remote control and a tiny browser which runs as an overlay on top of your active app.

Also announced is a WiFi version of the foldable dual-screen Tablet P which will be available in Japan begining 21st April .
