Nokia strikes out Nokia 600 – loudest smartphone

The Nokia 600, which is Nokia’s loudest smart phone has been dropped just months after its announcement. Yesterday rumour has been going as the 600 has been silently removed from its website. Even Nokia Malaysia’s 600 page is no longer available.

There isn’t any official announcement yet but Nokia has responded to a user comment on Facebook with:

Hi Kiran, we don’t hate you at all 🙂 The thing is, after careful consideration, we have decided not to ship the Nokia 600.

No reasons were given but it is likely due to re-positioning of its products after revealings its Nokia Lumia and Nokia Asha line up.

The 600 was announced together with 700 and 710 sometime in August which comes with Symbian Belle. The local Malaysian pricing was revealed at RM740 outright.
