While Motorola Atrix is getting the spotlight for its dual core capabilities, its ever popular Motorola Droid with its sliding keyboard is getting a deserving update as well. What you see above is the rumoured Droid 3 which will replace the current Motorola Droid 2.
In case you are wondering, Motorola Droids are CDMA based used by US operators such as Verizon. For the rest of us, there’s the Motorola Milestone which is the GSM model. For the newer Droid 2, there’s actually a Motorola Droid 2 Global which supports both modes.
The new rumoured Droid 3 shown above spots a new keyboard which has its keys more spaced out and possibly more depth than its predecessor. No details on the internal specs but we’re expecting them to have a dual-core processor in there with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
