We know that the replacement for the popular Samsung Galaxy S is just around the corner — February 13 to be exact. We know that more information on the device will revealed on February 1, but not much have been revealed about the specifcations of Samsung next biggest Android powerhouse.
By our estimate, it will definitely have to run dual-core to stay current with the likes of the Atrix and the Optimus 2X but that’s just speculation but is it?
Korean site, Nocutnews has revealed more details on the new Galaxy S, a device known internally in Samsung by the codename “Seine”.
The report says that the new Galaxy S will feature a dual-core processor along with a huge 1GB of RAM with a GPU performance of five times faster than the current Galaxy S. In addition the Seine — named after a river in France — will pack 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with WVGA resolution, an 8MP camera with full 1080p HD video recording, Android 2.3 OS along with NFC.
That’s not all, Nocutnews also claims that the new Galaxy S will be thinner than the current model possibly even thinner than the iPhone 4.
From a seperate source we’ve also gotten word that the new Galaxy S will feature a curved glass surface just like the Nexus S but the attention grabbing piece of news is that, it will also feature a vertical slide-out QWERTY keyboard, something that’s not unlike the BlackBerry Torch.
If this is anything to go by, the new Galaxy S will be something to look forward to indeed.
