iPhone 3G owners rejoice! Steve Jobs says he’s going to fix sloppy iOS4

If you’re using the iPhone 3G and have the iOS4 running on it right now, odds are you must be cursing the day you made the upgrade from Apple OS 3.

It’s no secret that iPhone 3Gs running iOS4 suffer from laggy performance and slow everything, not to mention suffering from poor battery life. Well it seems that your slow iPhone 3G days are numbered. Apparently Apple and Steve Jobs have received enough complaints from disgruntled iPhone 3G iOS4 users that they are now working on a fix.

The email below was sent to the man himself by an iPhone 3G owner that has had enough:

I’ve waited patiently through 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, looking for a fix that will make my phone work again. I’ve read the forums that advise me to jailbreak my phone or use some other method so I can downgrade back to a version of iPhone 3, however I’m not prepared to use a method that is not supported by Apple.

The email produced a trademark Jobs reply:

Software update coming soon.

Sent from my iPhone

Well, that settles it then, there will be an update to fix the problems plagueing iPhone 3G users running iOS4, but there’s no set date, so it could be next month or it could be next year. At least, iPhone 3G user are ensured that there will be a fix. Here’s hoping the wait won’t be too long.
