iPhone 4: Will be rocking 512MB RAM, more than iPad

MacRumors updates us that the iPhone 4 will rock 512MB of RAM. What’s interesting is, since the launch of the original iPhone, Apple had never officially mentioned or advertised the RAM of any of the iPhones it has released.

If you must know, the original iPhone and the iPhone 3G came with a pretty small 128MB of RAM. While the iPhone 3GS came with 256MB of RAM, which funnily enough, is the same amount you get in the iPad.

So there will be some bad news for those using the iPhone 3G, you won’t be getting multi-tasking when iOS4 is available for download. For those using the 3GS, you can forget about video editing on the fly with iMovie.

Anyone who’s running the iPhone 3GS can agree that the user experience is pretty slick even when compared to some of the more powerful Android devices in the market like the HTC Desire and Nexus One. You can imagine how blazing fast the iPhone 4 will be.
