Not too long ago we reported about one of Samsung’s upcoming smartphones, codenamed Project Zero 2, and we have some new details about the device.
Its quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge in a sense but with some differences in terms of screen size and processor under the hood.
The phone is expected to have either a 5.4 inch or 5.7 inch Super AMOLED curved display with edges on both sides. It is also rumoured to have a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 32GB internal storage as well as a 16 megapixel rear camera capable of 4K video recording and Optical Image Stabilization. The front camera will be a more standard 5 megapixel snapper.
In terms of physical dimensions, the device will be coming in at 151mm tall and about 73mm wide; which puts it a 9mm taller and 3mm wider than the Galaxy S6 edge. This is definitely pointing towards a larger display than 5.1 inches and a larger screen will in turn need a larger battery to power it so it does make sense. Project Zero 2 is said to be home to a 3,000 mAh battery as well.
Its currently up in the air in terms of what the smartphone will be named, but it has been labeled as the Galaxy S6 Plus or Galaxy S6 edge Plus. The device is expected to be launched in the coming weeks so we are expecting quite a big reveal from Samsung.
