UPDATE: Moto G 2nd gen is now officially announced at RM688.
If you’re looking for the latest 2nd gen Moto G, it is finally here in Malaysia. After being spotted in our local SIRIM database, local retailer DirectD is now selling the new Moto G at RM699. This is the XT1068 version which comes with Dual-SIM with 3G connectivity.
The new Moto G is an incremental upgrade over the original Moto G as it gets a slightly bigger from 4.5″ to 5.0″ IPS display that also does 1280×720 pixels resolution, front firing stereo speakers, microSD expansion slot and upgraded cameras (8MP + 2MP).
The rest of the specs are similar with a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Meanwhile the battery is still non-removable at 2,070mAh capacity. Being a Moto device with vanilla Android, you can expect it to be among the first to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
