Oppo is also in a pursuit of making super slim phones. A few months back they have introduced its Oppo R3, which is the world’s thinnest 4G LTE smart phone at only 6.3mm. That’s thinner that Huawei’s Ascend P7 which is 6.5mm thick.
While the Oppo R3 has yet to roll out internationally, a newer version dubbed as the Oppo R5 was spotted in Indonesia’s certification database carrying the model number R8106. So far there’s no details of its specs and considering it jumps to a new number. The Oppo R3 which currently uses a 5″ HD 720p display, Quad-Core 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and a 2,420mAh capacity battery. Meanwhile in Malaysia, Oppo has recently introduced its Oppo R1L which is a mid-tier 4G LTE smart phone that’s only 7.1mm thick.
The Oppo R5 could make an appearance at their upcoming N3 event that’s happening next month in Singapore.
