Aeon Bank has introduced Financial Purr Sona, a new interactive feature inside its mobile banking app that matches users with a character profile based on their everyday money habits.

Enabled by the digital bank’s virtual financial coach Neko Sensei, which already reviews customer account activity, the tool takes your existing transaction patterns and turns them into an evolving alter ego with tailored budgeting guidance.

How Aeon Bank matches you to a financial persona

Neko Sensei analyses how customers manage money across four core areas: saving, daily spending, financial planning, and clearing debts or payments on schedule. Using this data, the app assigns each user one of four distinct personas:

  • Tauke Tabung: for disciplined savers who regularly keep cash for rainy days.
  • Planner Pro Max: for organised users who plan ahead and watch their budget closely.
  • Boss Anti Bazir: for careful shoppers who avoid unnecessary spending.
  • Hutang Slayer: for those who always pay their monthly financing dues and household bills on time.

These character profiles are not set in stone. Aeon Bank confirmed that your assigned persona changes dynamically as your saving and spending habits shift over time.

Customers who routinely use the app for day to day transactions like DuitNow QR, debit card spending, term deposits, and bill settlements will see their profile update to reflect their ongoing financial health.

Users can also tap the Level Up option inside the app to unlock direct budgeting tips and guidance from Neko Sensei.

How to check your Financial Purr Sona

To discover your persona, open the Aeon Bank app, tap the Neko Sensei mascot on the main screen, and complete the short onboarding quiz.

Once your profile is revealed, you can tap Level Up to view your personalised coaching recommendations.

Any earned rewards can be checked and redeemed by going to the Rewards section on the home screen and opening the My Voucher tab.

How to claim free Boost Juice and FamilyMart vouchers

Alongside the new feature rollout, Aeon Bank has launched two promotional voucher campaigns tied to in app activities.

From 16 to 31 October 2026, users who activate their Financial Purr Sona can claim a free RM10 Boost Juice voucher, limited to one redemption per customer.

A second rewards phase will run from 1 January to 31 March 2027 through Neko Missions.

During this campaign, customers can collect virtual tokens called Neko Paws by completing actions such as activating their profile, exploring advice topics, or putting money into Savings Pots.

Users can earn up to two tokens each day and must gather 20 tokens to claim a RM10 FamilyMart voucher.
