Looking for a high-powered EV charger along Kesas Expressway? If you’re heading towards Shah Alam from OUG or Taman Bukit Jalil, there’s now an EV charger deployed by ChargEV at Awan Besar R&R.

Capable of pushing up to 180kW, the location is ideal for a quick top up while grabbing some quick refreshments at the rest area.

As part of its opening promo, ChargEV is offering a special discount for a limited time.

For this location at Awan Besar R&R, ChargEV has deployed a 180kW DC Charger with two CCS2 nozzles. The covered EV charging bays are located in front of the R&R’s prayer room facility.

The charger is priced at RM1.60 per kWh and you can activate the charger via ChargEV, JomCharge and Gentari Go.

Take note that the location imposes an idle fee of RM0.50 per minute if you don’t move your EV 20 minutes after charging is completed.

Prior to this, there was only a single 22kW JomCharge DC Charger at Petronas R&R Awan Besar. The small DC charger is equipped with both CCS2 and CHAdeMO connectors and is priced at RM1.50 per kWh.

To celebrate the launch, ChargEV is offering 20% discount for EV charging at this location until 11pm on 9th October 2026. With this discount promo, you can enjoy 180kW DC charging at Awan Besar R&R for RM1.28 per kWh.

Just make sure to apply the promo code AWB26 via the ChargEV app before activating the charging session.
