CelcomDigi has just announced Protect+ with AppleCare Services which starts from RM50 per month.
This is a multi-device protection plan that covers eligible iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods and Beats headsets under a single subscription.
Protect+ plan is applicable to new and existing CelcomDigi postpaid subscribers who have purchased an eligible iPhone from the telco.
Besides having similar benefits as Apple Care+, CelcomDigi Protection+ aims to provide greater peace of mind with extra perks including device swap and replacements.
What’s the difference between CelcomDigi Protect+ and AppleCare+?
With this plan, you can protect up to 4 Apple devices consisting of your iPhone and up to 3 eligible Apple devices like the iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods or Beats earphones. The additional devices can include eligible Apple products purchased from any authorised Apple retailer. However, only one eligible device can be enrolled per category.
For example, you can cover 1 iPhone + 1 iPad + 1 Apple Watch + 1 AirPods in the plan at the same time (Total: 4 devices across 4 different categories).
However, you can’t have 2 iPhones (or 2 iPads, 2 Apple Watches, 2 AirPods) or 1 iPhone + 3 iPads in the plan simultaneously.
The Protect+ offering has no contract or lock-in period. That means you’ll have the flexibility to cancel or stop the monthly Protect+ subscription whenever you want without paying any termination penalties or exit fees.
On the other hand, standard standalone AppleCare+ protection covers only one individual device tied to its specific serial number and you’ll have to pay a one-off fee which covers for a period of two years. If you own multiple Apple products (such as an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch), you must purchase a separate AppleCare+ policy for each device.
How much does CelcomDigi Protect+ cost vs Apple Care+
Apple Care+ plan for iPhone starts from RM649 for two years. For example, if you are an owner of the iPhone 18 Pro who wants to subscribe to AppleCare+, you will have to pay a lump sum of RM1,049. If you plan to add the iPad Pro 13-inch M4 to the plan, you will need to fork out another RM849.
Moreover, the price for AppleCare+ coverage differs for each model. So, you might want to keep that in mind if you plan to add more Apple devices.
Meanwhile, CelcomDigi Protect+ charges you monthly fee from RM50 which makes it more accessible to the masses. For the iPhone 18 Pro, the Protect+ subscription for two years will cost you RM1,584 (RM66 x 24 months).
While it costs more than the standalone AppleCare+ plan (RM1,049 for 2 years), the same subscription can cover up to 3 additional Apple products.
Here’s a brief comparison for two-year Protect+ and AppleCare+ bundle plans if we add in an iPad Pro 13″ M4, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods Max.
- AppleCare+: Apple iPhone 18 Pro (RM1,049) + iPad Pro 13-inch M4 (RM849) + Apple Watch Ultra 4 (RM479) + AirPods Max (RM299) = RM2,676
- Protect+: Apple iPhone 18 Pro + iPad Pro 13-inch M4 + Apple Watch Ultra 4 + AirPods Max (RM66 x 24 months) = RM1,584
If you need to add on protection for multiple Apple products, the Protect+ appears to offer greater value for money. However, take note that it doesn’t cover Macs, HomePods, Apple TV and Apple Displays.
Take note that the above Protect+ subscription fees exclude SST.
CelcomDigi Protect+ with AppleCare Services benefits

You can also enjoy up to 92% savings with its discounted service fee. It also covers damages like cracked screen, cracked back glass, screen + back glass damage and severe / other damage.
Besides that, you can get free battery replacement if your iPhone’s battery drops below 80% State of Health.
Is my iPhone eligible for the Protect+ plan?

For new CelcomDigi customers, you can subscribe to Protect+ when you buy your new iPhone via CelcomDigi Easy360 or Pakej MegaJimat device plans.
However, for existing CelcomDigi customers, you may add on Protect+ to your iPhone if it was recently purchased from CelcomDigi and it must be within 60 days of the device purchase.
According to the telco, your device must be in full working condition with SIM inserted and proof or purchase would be required in order to subscribe to Protect+.
How to register for CelcomDigi Protect+?
To register for Protect+, you need to visit and log in to the Service Portal with your registered mobile number or email address, then enter the OTP.
Next, you need to key in the relevant details and proof of purchase. You can also add your additional Apple devices at this stage.
Once you are done, tap the submit button. Your additional devices should be registered under Protect+.
How to make claims?
If you want to request for device repair, battery or screen replacement or all other repairs, you can reach out via the Apple Support app or Apple Support website. You can also make a request through the Apple Store or at any Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP)
For device swap or replacement, you will need to contact the Bolttech Servicing Portal. Remember, your service request should not be later than 30 days of Date of Incident
Should you choose the CelcomDigi Protect+ or the AppleCare+?
Whether or not you should pick CelcomDigi Protect+ or the standalone AppleCare+ plan depends on your needs or circumstances.
If you want a 2-year protection for a single Apple device, the AppleCare+ should be enough. If you own multiple Apple devices, then CelcomDigi Protect+ provides greater value for money as it covers a total of four devices at a lower monthly fee.
You will gain extra peace of mind with extra coverage for loss and theft, although a one-time replacement fee still applies for each service request.
