Tesla Malaysia continues to deploy more EV chargers and the latest Supercharger location is in Penang.
This is the third Supercharger location in Penang and it is still exclusive to Tesla vehicles only.
Located in the basement carpark, the covered location is great for Tesla owners to top up while visiting the mall.
Tesla V4 Supercharger at Queensbay Mall
The Tesla Supercharger at Queensbay Mall is located at South Zone Basement (LM) floor, near pillar A01.
As shown above, it uses the newer V4 Supercharger with 4x CCS2 nozzles, and it features longer cable and it can push up to 250kW of maximum power.
In terms of pricing, the Tesla Supercharger at Queensbay Mall is priced at RM1.08 per kWh. However, during off-peak hours from 23:00 to 04:00, it is slightly cheaper at RM0.99 per kWh.
With a Tesla, there’s no need to use an app or payment cards to activate a Supercharger. Just drive to a Supercharger location and plug in the nozzle to start charging. The charging cost will be charged directly to your saved payment card.
Tesla Malaysia’s EV charging network now covers 20 Supercharging locations (88x DC charge points) and 18 Destination Charging locations (76x AC charge points).
In case you missed it, Tesla has opened up four Supercharging locations to non-Tesla EVs, namely Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, IOI City Mall, I-City Shah Alam and Gamuda Cove Dengkil.
Tesla Malaysia’s latest promo
As part of its limited-time Merdeka promo, Tesla Malaysia is offering customers either a complimentary Wall Connector or 3,000km worth of Supercharging credits (non-combinable).
On top of that, Model Y customers can enjoy an extra incentive of RM13,000 trade-in rebate or a low interest programme (fixed rate) from 0.88%. These two offer are non-combinable and are applicable only for Model Y Premium RWD.
To sweeten the deal, the Tesla Model Y is now officially included in the Tesla Refer and Earn program. Tesla owners who successfully refer friends and family via their personal referral link can earn exclusive rewards upon successful qualifying purchase. The awards may be redeemed for Supercharging credits, software upgrades and more.
Tesla Malaysia also said that the first 10 people referred who order a new Tesla using a referral link will receive RM1,000 off on the new Model 3 or Model Y. Meanwhile, Tesla owners earn RM500 in Tesla credits for each successful referral.
