Huawei Malaysia has released its new Nova 14 smartphone series which aims at the premium mid-range segment. There are a total of three Nova 14 smartphones – the Nova 14 Pro, Nova 14 and the Nova 14i, which are priced from RM1,299.

The Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro models boast Pro Portrait photos with its 50MP front camera while the “budget-friendly” Nova 14i features a massive 7,000mAh battery.

Huawei Nova 14 series Malaysia Pricing

The Huawei Nova 14 series is now available for purchase in Malaysia and here’s the official pricing:

  • Huawei Nova 14i (8GB + 256GB) – RM1,299
  • Huawei Nova 14 (12GB+256GB) – RM1,799
  • Huawei Nova 14 Pro (12GB+512GB) – RM2,399

As part of its introductory offer, Huawei Malaysia is offering a RM130 Early Bird Voucher. In addition, they are offering free gifts including a Huawei Scale 3 worth RM109. On top of that, Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro buyers will also get an additional Huawei Band 10 worth RM189, while stocks last.

Besides Huawei Online Store, you can also purchase the Nova 14 series from the following official stores:

Lazada

  • Nova 14i
  • Nova 14 / 14 Pro

Shopee

  • Nova 14i
  • Nova 14 / 14 Pro

Huawei Nova 14 Pro

The Huawei Nova 14 Pro is the range topping model with a 6.78″ quad-curved 120Hz LTPO OLED display. It pushes a Full HD+ resolution of 2776×1225 pixels and a “global” brightness of 1200 nits.

Under the hood, it runs on a Kirin 8020 chip paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

In the camera department, the Nova 14 Pro gets a “quad” camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with f/1.4-f/4.0 variable aperture, 12MP f/2.4 optical telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and an 8MP ultra-wide macro camera. There’s also an Ultra Chroma Camera that adjusts shades and hues with its 1,500,000 spectral channels, and a adaptive multi-focal dual flash.

For selfies, the Nova 14 Pro gets a dual-camera setup which consists of a 50MP Ultra Portrait main camera with auto focus and an 8MP Close-Up Portrait camera with 2x optical zoom.

Powering the Huawei Nova 14 Pro is a 5,500mAh battery and it supports 100W Huawei Supercharge. According to Huawei, a quick 5-minute top up is able to provide up to 5.3 hours worth of video playback. Out of the box, it runs on EMUI 15.0.

Huawei Nova 14

Meanwhile, the Huawei Nova 14 is the slightly cheaper model and it features a flat 6.7″ 120Hz OLED display that pushes a full HD+ resolution of 2412×1084 pixels. Unlike the Nova 14 Pro, this model gets a flat edge design.

Under the hood, it runs on a Kirin 8000 chip with 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

In terms of imaging, it gets a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP Ultra Vision main camera, a 12MP telephoto portrait camera with 3.4x optical zoom and an 8MP ultra-wide macro shooter.

For selfies, it gets a single 50MP Ultra Portrait Camera that sits in a punch hole.

The Nova 14 also gets a 5,500mAh battery and it also supports 100W Huawei Supercharge. Out of the box, it runs on EMUI 14.2.

Huawei Nova 14i

If you’re looking for something more affordable, there’s the Huawei Nova 14i. Despite being the cheapest model, it has the largest screen in the series with a 6.95″ 90Hz LCD display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution of 2376×1080 pixels.

Instead of a Kirin chip, the Nova 14i runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

The device gets a more basic dual-camera setup which includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, along with an 8MP selfie camera.

Powering the device is a huge 7,000mAh battery that’s rated to last 26 hours of video playback. It also supports Huawei Supercharge (likely 22.5W), capable of topping up 3.1 hours of video playback with a quick 10 minute charge. Out of the box, it runs on EMUI 14.2.

As you would expect from new Huawei smartphones, the Nova 14 series has no Google Play Store and 5G isn’t supported. However, you can discover and download apps via the Huawei AppGallery which covers most common apps Malaysians need including online banking, eWallet, travel, messaging and eHailing.
