TikTok‘s e-commerce platform, TikTok Shop, has extended its Free Returns policy for Mall brand products from 15 to 30 days. Implemented in early June 2025, this updated policy applies exclusively to authentic branded items marked with the official ‘Mall’ badge. Shoppers now have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return request, in case the product doesn’t meet their expectations.
30-day returns ensure fair after-sales, no shipping cost for sellers
Said to be designed to “facilitate fair after-sales experiences for both shoppers and sellers”, the 30-Day Free Returns policy also ensures sellers are protected from potential fraudulent behaviours by enabling them to reject return requests just in case the condition of the returned product is less than stellar.
TikTok Shop also added that it will bear the shipping fee of “No Longer Needed” returns, providing shoppers with peace of mind without burdening sellers.
Extended returns available for thousands of branded products
The newly extended 30-day Free Return policy is currently available for thousands of local and international branded products on TikTok Shop’s Mall section. This includes brands like Clef Beauty, Dododots, Christy Ng, Bonia, Elgini, Lancôme, Pensonic, Puma, Johnson’s Baby, and Ogawa. Shoppers can easily identify TikTok Shop Mall brands by the official ‘Mall’ badge prominently.
Commenting on the 30-Day Free Returns policy, TikTok Shop Malaysia Strategic Partnerships Director, Nur Azre Abdul Aziz said, “This enhanced 30-Day Free Returns policy for TikTok Shop Mall will provide greater assurance for shoppers, while propelling the growth of brands and affiliate creators.”
