The Samsung Galaxy Tab S will be announced this Friday morning and comes in 8.4″ and 10.5″ sizes. The new Galaxy Tab S marks Samsung’s return of using AMOLED displays for tablets which pushes an ultra high definition WQXGA resolution at 2560×1600 pixels. If you’ve been following the recent leaks, you’ll notice that the back of the Galaxy Tab S has 2 mounting points which is likely to be paired with a special case or folder. Now the flip covers have been leaked in high resolution thanks to Sammobile and you can view them after the break.
To recap on the specs, the Galaxy Tab S will be running on Samsung’s Exynos 5420 Octa-Core processor which consists of 4x Cortex-A15 cores @ 1.9GHz and 4x Cortex-A7 cores @ 1.3GHz. It is also mated to 3GB of RAM and a 6-core ARM Mali-T628 GPU for better gaming. The Galaxy Tab S also gets a fingerprint scanner like the Galaxy S5 and comes with 8MP main camera and a front facing 2MP unit.
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is expected to be ultra thin and light at just 6.6mm thick and weighing 465 grams. For Malaysia, we are likely to be getting the 10.5″ version with 4G LTE as it was recently spotted in SIRIM’s certification database.
