Acer joins the wearable bandwagon by announcing the Liquid Leap, a smart band with phone notification features. It is their smallest touch device to date and it comes with a 1″ touch screen display with a rubberised wrist band. The Liquid Leap offers a host of fitness tracking features including steps, distance, calories burned and sleeping patterns. In addition it also alerts you on incoming calls, messages and even lets you control your music playlist from your wrist.

It also gets water resistance at IPX7 rating and the battery is said to be able to last up to 7 days with its efficient Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. There are 5 colours available – Moonstone White, Mineral Black, Aquamarine, Fragrant Pink, and Vivid Orange. The Liquid Leap will be released in limited countries as a bundle with its newly announced Acer Liquid Jade smart phone. Overall, this looks like a simplified version of the Samsung Gear Fit without a curved screen and heart rate sensor underneath.
