Nothing Phone (2a) made its way to Malaysia back in March and was then followed by the Nothing Phone (2a) Special Edition two months later. As it turns out, the London-based company has another model in the pipeline that it will launch later this month called Nothing Phone (2a) Plus.

Nothing first hinted at the existence of the Phone (2a) Plus on 15 July by posting a picture of Pokemon Mega Aerodactyl on X before tweeting the “+” symbol a few hours later. Before its release, Phone (2a) was codenamed Aerodactyl and these tweets seemed to be hinting at a Plus version of the phone.
Fast forward to today, Nothing made an announcement that it will be launching the Phone (2a) Plus on 31 July. According to Nothing Malaysia’s official website, the unveiling will take place at 5:00 PM Malaysian time.
What are the new features that will come with Nothing Phone (2a) Plus?
At the moment, it is unclear what will Plus model bring to the table. This is because there is no major leak about it for the time being.
Perhaps, a bigger screen, faster memory, or larger storage space? Well, expect details regarding the phone will make their way online very soon since there are still two weeks left before the official launch takes place.

Nevertheless, let’s take a refresher on what the Nothing Phone (2a) is all about. Running on a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro, the Phone (2a) is equipped with a 6.7-inch flexible AMOLED display that has a native resolution of 2412 x 1084 pixels.
Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the display also has an adaptive refresh rate capability of between 30Hz to 120Hz. Aside from that, it also has a peak brightness level of 1,300nits.
In terms of photography, the Phone (2a) relies on a 50MP f/1.88 main camera on its back alongside a 50MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera. For selfies, they are being handled by a 32MP f/2.2 front camera.
The Phone (2a) is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging speed of up to 45W although you have to purchase the charger separately. In Malaysia, the device comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage as standard and was launched with a price tag of RM1,699.
