[UPDATE – 11/1/2024 11:54 AM]: The official specs of Oppo Reno 11 Pro for the Malaysian market have officially been revealed. The new phone is available immediately in Malaysia for RM2,499.
It is barely over a week since we enter the new year but ready or not, plenty of new smartphones are coming into the market very soon. Among them is the Oppo Reno 11 Pro which is one of the two new Reno models for 2024.
Before we begin, let’s get this out first: Oppo is still keeping plenty of details regarding the device under wraps for the time being. So, we don’t get to talk about the Reno 11 Pro in detail at the moment although you don’t have to wait long to know more since the new phone will be officially launched in Malaysia tomorrow, 11 January.
Oppo Reno 11 Pro eye-pleasing aesthetics
Hence, our first look at the Reno 11 Pro mainly revolves around its design and specifically, the Pearl White version. While beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder, I found myself favouring this colourway instead of the Rock Grey option.
This is because the glass back of the Pearl White version provides a rather interesting set of visual effects depending on the angle at which you holding it. From straight up, you can see the pearl-like pattern but once you tilt it at just the right angle or if you have the right lighting, you should be able to notice the frost patterns that have been overlaid on top of the background.
That’s not all though as you can also spot a layer of glitter on its back when you hold the phone at a certain angle. Meanwhile, the polished metal frame on the Reno 11 Pro is not only a great pairing to the Pearl White design but has also injected a premium vibe into the new phone.
In addition to that, the phone’s curved body made it rather pleasant to hold. While the protruding camera module may prevent the phone from being able to lay down completely flat on a surface, I reckoned its rather unorthodox design may spark a conversation or two.
Oppo Reno 11 Pro specs, pricing
As noted earlier, Oppo is keeping the specs for the Reno 11 Series under wraps for the time being even though the series was launched in China last November. However, three main features have been revealed on Oppo Malaysia’s website so far.
Among them include a 32MP telephoto camera as well as 80W fast charging capability via the SuperVOOC technology. Oppo also didn’t forget to highlight that Reno 11 Pro comes standard with ColourOS 14 which is based on Android 14.
More information about the new Reno 11 Pro will be revealed at its grand launch event which is scheduled for tomorrow, 11 January at 10 AM. So, stay tuned.
