Samsung OLED Spec and Features
Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panels are now commonly found on smartphones, tablets and new laptops, and several brands already offer them on their TVs. OLED typically offer better brightness, more vivid colours, and it offers greater blacks as each pixel can be turned off individually.
According to Samsung, its OLED 4K S95B series with an HDR10+ certified panel offer 8.3 million self-illuminating pixels which offer unrivalled deep black, clean white and full shades of alive colours which results in more accurate, pure and bright pictures than traditional OLED TVs. It comes with Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor 4K which optimises the screen brightness and contrast at the pixel level using AI. The built-in AI processor can also help to upscale non-4K content to high-definition 4K quality.
The Samsung OLED TV boasts a 120Hz refresh rate for gaming and it comes with four HDMI 2.1 ports. However, the spec sheet has indicated a refresh rate of 100Hz, so the 120Hz refresh rate is likely to be upscaled digitally with the Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ feature.
The OLED TV has a super slim design at 7.5mm at the thinnest point and it has top channel speakers with Dolby Atmos. According to Samsung, their Dolby Atmos technology is powered physically by dedicated multi-channel TV speakers all around the screen for an immersive theatre experience. There are a total of four speakers on the upper and lower sides, and you can upgrade your audio experience via Samsung Q-Symphony when it’s connected to a wireless Samsung Soundbar.
Out of the box, the Smart TV functions run on Samsung’s Tizen OS which you can support your popular video streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video and Apple TV. It supports Bixby voice commands and can be used to connect other Samsung smart home appliances via SmartThings. With a compatible Samsung or Android device, you can use it to connect wirelessly for DeX and enable MultiView support to show your phone and TV content at the same time.
