If the ASUS PadFone mini 4.3 is too small to your liking, they have just released a bigger model called the PadFone E. It comes with a full sized 10.1″ PadFone station tablet that does 1280×720 pixels resolution and a larger 4.7″ Smart Phone that also does the same screen resolution. Looking at the design and hardware, this looks like a budget version of its older PadFone 2.

Underneath the PadFone E is powered with a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 with 1GB that’s similar to the PadFone mini 4.3. Strangely they didn’t mention the on-board storage but you do get to expand storage with micro-SD card. The 4.7″ PadFone also comes with a 13MP camera and it packs a modest 1,820mAh capacity battery. Overall the smart phone itself 9.08mm thin and weighs 126 grams. The PadFone which packs a larger 5,000mAh capacity battery weighs 525.67 grams.

At time of release, it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and comes with a choice of 2 colours – Johnny Walker Black and Pearl White. 4G LTE is not supported on the PadFone E but the model released in Taiwan comes with dual SIM capability. Not sure when ASUS will be offering it here but it will likely be a notch higher than the RM1,249 listed price tag for the ASUS PadFone Mini 4.3.

Head after the break for more product images of the PadFone E.
