Vivo Malaysia has announced that the Vivo Y12A will be available in Malaysia from 26 June onwards. It’s the latest device in their value-focused Vivo Y lineup.
Specs
The Vivo Y12A features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 system-on-chip underneath that’s mated to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It comes with a 6.51-inch IPS HD+ (1600 × 720) display, with an Eye Protection Mode to reduce user eye strain by filtering out blue light. As for the cameras, you get an 8MP selfie camera on the front and a 13MP+2MP dual rear camera setup.
It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that doubles as the power button. Vivo claims a 0.26 second unlock time when using the fingerprint scanner. The Y12A has Vivo’s Multi-Turbo 3.0 feature too. This optimises CPU core usage to improve in-game performance and reduce any shuttering or lag you may encounter.
Battery-wise, the Y12A has a huge 5,000mAh battery keeping the lights on. Vivo rates the device for up to 17.4 hours of HD streaming and 10.2 hours of gameplay all with just one full charge. Furthermore, it comes with 5V/1A reverse charging, allowing you to use the Y12A as a power bank to charge up your other devices. Do note however that it still uses a Micro-USB connector type.
Price and availability
The Vivo Y12A will be priced at RM529, and comes in either Phantom Black or Mint Green. You can get it from Vivo Official flagship stores on Shopee and Lazada as well as the Vivo e-store. It’ll also be available for purchase from physical Vivo concept stores, partners and authorised dealers.
