The classic 90s sitcom Friends has stood the test of time as it’s still a beloved show now. So it didn’t come as a surprise to me when HBO announced that they will be premiering a special reunion featuring the cast of Friends—which HBO Go and HBO customers can watch on Thursday, 27 May.
The reunion has been something Friends fans have been wanting for a while now, especially as one of the biggest stars to come off the show—Jennifer Aniston—was open to the idea in 2019. When she was asked about it on Ellen, she said that she thought her co-stars would be game as well.
For the first time in 17 years, Aniston, along with Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer return for a real-life unscripted special. They are joined by moderator James Corden and a roster of special guests like David Beckham, BTS, Lady Gaga, Tom Selleck, Reese Witherspoon and even Malala Yousafzai amongst others.
Friends executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane also reprise their production roles. And it will all take place at the iconic comedy’s original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank.
Friends: The Reunion will premiere exclusively on HBO and HBO Go. It will debut the same time as the U.S. on Thursday, 27 May at 3.01pm exclusively on HBO GO, and later on HBO (Astro Ch 411 HD) at 9pm on the same day.
