Malaysia has recorded 2,340 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 381,813. There are 11 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 1,400.
The Ministry of Health has reported 1,910 new recoveries and a total of 358,726 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 93.95% while the mortality rate remains at 0.37%.
There are currently 21,687 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 248 are in ICU while 101 require respiratory support.
Out of the 2,340 new cases today, 12 are imported while 2,328 are transmitted locally. Selangor recorded the most with 526 cases, followed by Sarawak with 429 cases, Kelantan with 370 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 291 cases.
The Ministry of Health has identified 11 new clusters today which involves 3 schools and 3 community clusters. Below is the list of new identified clusters:
A total of 67 clusters have recorded new cases today. The Kok Lanas cluster recorded the most with 78 cases, followed by Jalan Khidmat cluster with 72 cases and Sungai Lemayong cluster with 65 cases.
