Diesel vehicle users in Malaysia will pay more for fuel this week as the prices for Diesel is up by 6 sen per litre. Petrol users will also pay slightly more but the price remains under RM2 per litre for both RON95 and RON97.

Below are the fuel prices for the period between 14th to 20th November 2020:

RON95 – RM1.62/litre (+1 sen)
RON97 – RM1.92/litre (+1 sen)
Diesel – RM1.74/litre (+6 sen)
Diesel (Euro 5) – RM1.84/litre (+6 sen)

The price of fuel in Malaysia is calculated based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM). According to the Ministry of Finance, the adjustments in fuel prices reflect the changes in the pricing of refined oil products in line with the current global crude oil prices.

In case you missed it, Senior Ministry Ismail Sabri Yaakob has clarified that MySejahtera check-in for COVID-19 contact tracing is not required at the petrol pump. It is only needed if you need to enter the convenience store or there’s a need to have a face to face interaction.

Meanwhile, the 2 person per vehicle limit for CMCO areas has been raised to 3 person per car. The decision was made by the National Security Council yesterday following feedback from the public and police. There were demands for a little bit of leeway especially for parents with young children or individuals that need to send both elderly parents for medical emergencies.
