Xiaomi Malaysia will be introducing two new products and this includes its recently announced 34″ curved gaming monitor that pushes a 144Hz refresh rate. According to their Facebook page, both devices will be available from Monday, 24th August 2020.

Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34″

To recap, the 34″ Mi Curved Gaming Monitor boasts a WQHD resolution of 3440×1440 pixels with a 21:9 ultra-wide aspect ratio. The VA panel offers 121% sRGB wide colour gamut, a maximum brightness of up to 300 nits and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. The monitor has a 1500R curvature which is said to be perfectly contoured for average person’s field of view.

Apart from having a high 144Hz refresh rate, it has a 4ms response time and has support for AMD FreeSync. In terms of ports, Xiaomi has included two HDMI and two Display Port 1.4, plus a headphone jack.

In Europe, it’s priced from EUR 399 (about RM1,977) and we reckon that it could be priced less than RM2,000 for our local market. It is likely that Xiaomi Malaysia will sell the monitor via its official stores on Lazada and Shopee.

Mi Portable Photo Printer

Apart from the monitor, Xiaomi Malaysia is also introducing its portable photo printer which looks somewhat similar to the compact Instax Share printer. It uses ZINK (Zero Ink) technology and the printer can hold up to 10 sheets. The device can print photos in 313×400 dpi resolution and it takes up to 45 seconds to print an photo.

The compact printer comes with a 500mAh battery and it charges via microUSB. A full charge is rated to last up to 20 prints. The printer is managed via the Mijia App and it is connected via Bluetooth 5.0. In China, the Mi Portable Photo Printer is officially priced at CNY 349 (about RM211).
