The number of new COVID-19 cases has dropped to 15 today which brings the total number of cases in the country to 9,038. There are no new deaths reported and the death toll remains at 125.
The Ministry of Health has reported 11 new recoveries today and a total of 8,713 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is currently 96.40% while the mortality rate is 1.38%.
At the moment, there are 200 active cases remaining which are currently receiving treatment. 2 patients are in ICU and there’s one case that require respiratory support.
Out of the 15 cases reported today, 5 are imported while 10 are transmitted locally. The imported cases consist of 3 Malaysians and 1 foreigner returning from the Philippines and 1 foreigner arriving from South Africa.
In terms of local cases, there are 6 Malaysians found positive from the Sivagangga cluster in Kedah, 1 Malaysian and 1 foreigner reported in Negeri Sembilan, a foreigner in Kuala Lumpur and a Malaysian in Labuan.
