Huawei Nova 7 5G arrives in Malaysia on 7th July, priced under RM2,000

After introducing the Nova 7 SE 5G a couple of weeks go, Huawei Malaysia is finally offering the higher-spec model, the Nova 7 5G in Malaysia next week. It boasts better internals with 5G support and it is still priced under RM2,000.

Pricing and availability

Huawei Nova 7 5G Malaysia

The new 5G device will go on sale starting from the 7th July 2020 on the Huawei Online Store. It is officially priced at RM1,999 with 8GB RAM + 256GB of storage. As a comparison, the more affordable Nova 7 SE 5G is priced at RM1,499 with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The Nova 7 is offered in two colour options – Midsummer Purple and Space Silver.

As an introductory offer, the device is bundled with freebies worth RM1,571. This includes a Huawei CM510 Mini Speaker Pair, A Huawei AP09S 10,000mAh SuperCharge Powerbank, a Huawei Nova 7 PC Case and 12-months 15GB Huawei Cloud storage.

Hardware Specs

The Nova 7 5G comes with a 6.53″ OLED display that pushes a Full HD+ resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. It runs on a 7nm Kirin 985 5G chipset that comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

For taking pictures, it gets a quad-camera setup at the rear, which features a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 2MP macro camera. On the display, it gets a punch-hole on the top left corner which houses a 32MP selfie camera.

Powering the device is a 4,000mAh battery which supports Huawei’s 40W SuperCharge via USB-C. The device runs on EMUI 10.1.1 that’s based on Android 10. However, it doesn’t come pre-loaded with Google apps and services, and you’ll have to depend on Huawei’s AppGallery to discover and download apps.
