The Honor 9X is launching in China next week and the Huawei sub-brand has finally shared its first teaser image of the device. Similar to Honor’s flagship devices, you can expect an “Aurora glass”-like gradient treatment and the new mid-range smartphone appears to take a step further with an interesting X pattern effect.
This shouldn’t come as a surprise since the new device is from the Honor X series. As a comparison, the Honor View20 featured a V-shaped chevron design since it’s a V series device.
The teaser image also reveals a triple-camera setup and we can confirm that the main shooter is a 48MP camera. The design looks like an Honor 20 Lite but without a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
If you look closely at the sides, you’ll find a volume rocker and a recessed area which looks like a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. This can also double up as a power button and it looks similar to the Honor 20 series.
This triple-camera device is likely to be the higher-spec Honor 9X Pro as the standard model is expected to come with just dual-cameras for the back. According to its TENAA certification listing, it appears that the device will come with a 6.59″ Full HD+ display and it comes with a 3,900mAh battery.
The Honor 9X will be launched in Xi’an, China on the 23rd July 2019. The new mid-range device will also come with a pop-up selfie camera and it runs on their latest 7nm Kirin 810 processor.
